My Skills: View and Manage the Skills on Your Ideal Account

Everything you need to know about the My Skills section in your Ideal Flex Work app.

Overview

The My Skills section shows which skills you’re eligible to receive gig offers for, along with recent activity tied to each skill.


📍 Where can I see my skills?

You can find all active skills in the My Skills section of the Ideal Flex Work app.

To get there:

  1. Open the Ideal Flex Work app.

  2. Select More in the lower-right corner.

  3. Tap Skills.

For each skill, you’ll see:

  • The number of gig invites you’ve received for that skill in the last 90 days

  • The number of shifts you’ve completed in that skill

Note:
Seeing a “0” does not mean you’re ineligible. It only reflects recent activity. As long as a skill is listed as active, you can still accept gigs for it.


🚫 Why can’t I apply for new skills?

If you see a message saying you’re not eligible to request new skills, it may be because:

  • You’ve been working with Ideal for less than 6 months

  • It’s been less than 6 months since your last skill request

  • New skill requests aren’t being accepted in your area right now

Once you’re eligible, you’ll see a blue Add Skills button in the Active Skills section of the Skills tab.


⏳ Why do I have pending skills?

Pending skills mean you recently requested new skills to be added to your account.

To keep your request active, make sure you:

  • Add experience details for each requested skill

  • Complete the required assessment tests

Important:
If these steps aren’t completed within 7 days, your request will be denied.

After submission, your skills are reviewed by our team. We’ll either:

  • Approve the skill

  • Deny the request

  • Ask you to join a Zoom meeting to discuss the skill

If a Zoom meeting is requested, you must schedule it within 1 week. If not scheduled in time, the request will be denied.
