Pay Rate Policies for Shifts with Unexpected Additional Duties
Sometimes a shift may include tasks you weren’t expecting. Here’s how pay rates work on Ideal Flex Work and what you can do if the duties on-site differ from what was advertised. ✨
Pay rates for every gig are set by the client when the shift is posted. These rates are based on the responsibilities listed in the job description and stay the same once you book the shift. This means the pay rate cannot be changed after the shift, even if additional duties come up. 💵
If You’re Asked to Do Unexpected Tasks
If you arrive at a gig and the duties differ from the job description:
✔️ Complete the shift as assigned by the onsite manager
📨 After the shift, message Talent Relations in the Ideal Flex Work app to share feedback
🔍 Our team will review the details and work with the client to update future postings so expectations are clear
Even though we can’t change the pay rate after your shift ends, your feedback helps us ensure job descriptions stay accurate and transparent. 🙌
How Clients Keep Role Details Accurate
Ideal partners are encouraged to:
📝 List all responsibilities clearly in the job description
📌 Add specifics in Special Instructions
🔄 Update future postings if role duties change on-site
Clear, accurate job details help you know exactly what to expect before booking a shift—and ensure consistency across similar roles.
